Please make sure to vote to OPPOSE these caps as they are horribly anti-consumer, anti-taxpayer and will gut both plaintiff and defense practices alike.
The New York State Bar Association has a long history of vehemently opposing these caps but this year there is a movement afoot by the largest medical malpractice carriers urging the NYSBA to reverse its opposition to caps.
Also, please email all Chemung Bar Association members you know to urge them to vote in this poll to OPPOSE these caps!
I have TONS of information as to why the caps are bad for NY so let me know if you want me to email you these documents.
Thanks, Jim
